Part 1:
Writing 60 has taught me a lot of lessons about writing and related topics. First, it has given me a couple of transformative learning experiences. The first thing that it has taught me in relation to my research is that it is important to look carefully when trying to find sources for writing. There are a lot of website and articles that do not cover the full story and in order to make sure that my articles have good, solid evidence, I now always read through full articles and stories to make sure that they properly support my writing. In relation to my course objectives this quarter, I learned that peer review is such a powerful tool to help myself and other peers. I found this out after doing peer review several times in this class. It not only taught me more about my own writing because a peer was telling me areas where I should improve, it also allowed me to analyze my own writing through others. While peer reviewing other peoples' articles, I would often find myself asking if I had done that in my own writing. Then I would go back and make these changes on my own. These two learning experiences will prove to be very impactful in the future of my writing and allow me to flourish as a writer.
Part 2:
As for some problem areas from this course, I believe that the the two biggest issues that I had were that I had time management problems all throughout the quarter. I often found myself completing assignments right before the due date. This is something that I will continue to work on in the future. I understand the importance of this problem because in life, being early is on time and being on time is late. The meaning of the this statement is that it is always better to be early as it shows good character and responsibility. Another issue is that sometimes I got writer's block during the quarter where it was hard to think of what to write next. My way to fix this problem is to continue to write and read in my free time, building up my knowledge of words and linguistics. Hopefully these two solutions will help me to fix my problems. If they do not, I have plenty of people to go to for help and support.
