Part 1:
Looking back to week 1 of our preparation to get to writing this Scicomm article, I would like to go over a few of the different writing techniques that I applied from this time in order to write my article. The first was citing evidence in within the text in a smooth manner. I was able to do this by adding commas and then inserting the quotes right after this to make it seem as if the quote smoothly combined with the text. Another helpful writing technique that I used was to add descriptive words and imagery to my text to allow the reader to better visualize the text. This was a helpful tool because it allowed me to write in a way that best showed off the article. The last technique was to list the researchers of the article. This was a good technique because it gave my writing credibility and confirmation on certain points.
Part 2:
I am pretty confident that my essay met the minimum requirements becvause as I look back at all of the required points, my article meets these standards. Some of the objectives I believe I met in an effective way included the body paragraphs which were a summary of my 3 research studies because I think I was able to summarize them to a good standard. Another area I think I did well in was the arrangement and organization of the article because it follows a solid chronological order. Some objectives that I may need to work on include the research portion and the scholarly ethos because I think with some more revisions and peer editing, these can get better.

Part 3:
For the SMC project, I plan on targeting wolves and the conservation of them especially in more urban areas. I have been tweeting about them throughout weeks 1-5 and have learned a great deal about them so far. This is why I think they are a good source to start with. In addition to wolves I do plan are advocating for some other animals such as owls, but wolves will be the main point. There are a load of organizations all over twitter all using the hashtag #savethewolves. This is where I believe I will find a good source of my information.
