X First Blog Update

My experience with X has been all positive so far. After updating my profile screen as can be seen above, I had a great time following some of the many researchers that I had just read about in the Times articles. These researchers will hopefully prove to be helpful for my studies in the future as they offer good perspectives on animal ethics and research. Then I started adding some animal activist groups and similar accounts to get more different perspectives about animal rights and ethics. It was interesting to find many different types of accounts that are all lobbying for different things. One of my favorite ones was the owl activist page which I found to be an interesting activist group. I did not know that these barn owls are in danger and it felt good to retweet about this. Sticking with this point, retweeting and tweeting about some animal articles online felt very empowering and fun. It was like I had a voice in some debates and could advocate in my own way. Overall, my experience of using X for the first time was exciting and intriguing. In the future, it will be cool to continue posting and keeping up to date with the many researchers and groups that I followed today.
